![]() After an aquaBelly workout I think of nothing but RED MEAT! Did you know that craving meat is completely normal. Your muscles need protein after a workout and meat will give you just that...and more! The way I look at it is my body is telling me something important. "EAT MEAT" Let me be clear, I'm a southern girl and love, love, love meat and potatoes, but that's reserved for Sunday's right?! There is nothing wrong with craving meat. You need to give your body protein after a workout. I know red meat isn't for everyone, but for me, protein shakes just don't cut it. I find them weak and my body deserves better than some man made powder drink. Be mindful of your portions don't go overboard when consuming this oh so tasty meal! Enjoy and let me know how your red meat turns out! 1 (3 pound) beef roast (I used Beef Top Sirloin for this recipe) Rub w/ butter, salt, pepper, garlic generously all over! *Use gloves...I did 1. Preheat oven to 500 F 2. Place cast iron skillet in oven to heat for about 5 minutes 3. Take skillet out of oven and place it on your stove (set to high) sear meat 3 minutes per side. 4. Next place the skillet and roast in the preheated oven. Roast for 21 minutes (seven minutes per pound) then turn off the oven and let the roast sit. Do NOT open the oven door! 5. Take it out of the oven and let it rest for a bit...slice and enjoy! We served this with some roasted Brussels sprouts and a nice green leaf salad with tomatoes and apple cider vinegar dressing!
